Course Activities

The Beautiful Mountain and Forest Landscape surrounding the Art Centre in the Dublin Mountains forms the perfect natural environment for Summer Art and Craft Courses. As this is the children’s holiday, emphasis is placed on making these creative Courses enjoyable as well as instructive.

Students are out of doors in the fresh air, sketching, going on forest trails, collecting natural materials for craft work, etc, whenever the weather and activity permit. During breaks / walks, as at all times, the students are under careful supervision.

The Junior Course

On the Junior Course, each child participates in a wide variety of Art and Craft activities such as pottery, painting, drawing, woodwork, enamelling, batik, rush work, bead work, leather work and many many more. Depending on the age of the student, the types of activities vary.

The Senior Course

The Senior Course is more focused; activities include drawing, oil and water colour painting, design, sculpture, pottery, enamelling and many other crafts.

The Portfolio Preparation Course

The Portfolio Preparation Course programme is structured to provide students with help with developing a comprehensive portfolio. They have personal work spaces in which they explore painting, ceramics, metal, silk painting, printing, textiles, design and life drawing all according to their personal requirements.
